Online Fireworks Retailers To Supply Your July 4th Bang

June 25, 2019

Most people find several different ways to celebrate the 4th of July. Over 75% of Americans own a grill and grilling equipment. Backyard BBQs and grilling in public parks is usually how many Americans celebrate July 4th. A lot of people just relax at home, watching their favorite binge-worthy TV shows during marathons marathon viewings. However, nothing exemplifies celebrating the 4th of July like setting off fireworks.

In the 1980s, before consumer fireworks were pretty much outlawed in New York City, me, my brothers, and all of the neighborhood kids would buy budget packs of firecrackers and light them with matches. I am struck now, thinking about the short fuses on those firecrackers and how much danger we put ourselves in at the time. Even though some states have banned the sale of fireworks to the public, like Delaware and Massachusetts, you can still buy them in many states.

Some states are very restrictive. In New York State, most consumers can only buy handheld sparklers. However, in more than half of all American states, you can buy as many fireworks as you want, or, within state restrictions. During the 4th of July holiday, there is no business like the fireworks business. About 99% of all consumer fireworks are imported from China. Over 45% of Americans use fireworks during the 4th of July.

Of that amount, the average person buys about $100 to $300 worth of fireworks. Some people even splurge and buy $1,000 worth of fireworks.

Overstock Central Fireworks

This online fireworks retailer is offering customers free shipping on all purchases over $500 during the 4th of July season. Overstock Central Fireworks has been operating for over 20 years and was founded in Indiana. You will find every kind of firework product at this retailer. The company sells over 800 distinct kinds of fireworks, from handheld sparklers all the way to 500-gram fireworks. Federal law prohibits the sale of consumer fireworks over 500-grams.

Phantom Fireworks

Phantom Fireworks has been selling consumer fireworks since the 1970s. The company was founded by Bruce J. Zoldan, who expanded his business when his sparkler fireworks became a hit with his customers. Phantom Fireworks has since become the self-proclaimed number one consumer fireworks retailer in the United States. The company maintains showrooms and retail locations in 16 states.

Additionally, the company has another 1,500 temporary retail spaces in 17 states. They sell everything from rockets, mortar kits and 500-gram fireworks.

A Celebratory Investment?

Spending over $100, or $300 on fireworks is a lot of money for the sake of celebrations alone. That amount can represent a significant portion of monthly utility payment. In fact, over 40% of Americans couldn’t cover a $400 financial emergency if one was presented to them. So, if you are going to invest in celebratory fireworks, make sure that you do so in a safe and legal manner.

Never allow young children to use fireworks. Make sure fireworks are allowed in your county before you set them off. And most of all, be safe. Every year during the month of July alone, over 8,400 go to the hospital for injuries related to fireworks.
