There are still a lot of people who wash raw poultry before cooking it, but they’re doing it wrong according to experts at the UK’s Food Standards Agency. The agency warns washing raw chicken can lead to severe illness, and even the possibility of death, and cost the economy hundreds of millions of pounds in lost wages, productivity and health care costs.
