February 28 is National Tooth Fairy Day, so the obvious question is, “How much money does the tooth fairy give these days?” The cost of a tooth for the tooth fairy is increasing according to the Original Tooth Fairy Poll. In 98% of the instances she appears, the tooth fairy leaves money for the lost tooth. The average price she gave in 2013 was $3.50. A first tooth was worth even more, with the average amount given being $4.51. All this despite the fact that the most common amount given was just $1 at 42% of the time.
