There are a number of ways to save money on coffee. I often carry a thermos of coffee (or tea, which I actually prefer) when I leave my house. Mechanics and oil change places have free coffee most of the time, but it’s not always the best coffee. My local one makes a decent cup (and has free popcorn too), but I’ve also had some terrible coffee (must have been sitting there for days) at these places as well.

  2. I also got a free coffee in the mall that offers free cup of coffee. :) I noticed their free coffee lasted for how many months.

I switched to making coffee at home instead of buying it last year. It’s a pain to do the first few months, but once it becomes a habit, I started not thinking twice about it. I know doing so saves me several hundred dollars over what I was paying at shops. I might have to try and pick up a free cup or two now and then as well.

Wow, your thermos doesn’t hold you?? Just kidding. I do a thermos when mom and I hit the movies. Even if they had coffee there (most around us don’t and if they do, it’s too high priced or old), I just prefer my own. When we don’t leave the house, I’ll make a pot and put the leftovers in the thermos and use it all day unless we want decaf in the evening for a change. Anyway, thanks for ideas about the freebie cups.
