I do see this happen a lot. There seems to be two types of people. One of our those who are so passionate that they don’t consider anything else which gets him into trouble and another that thinks that whatever their passion about should come easy and if it doesn’t, they give up on it quickly. It’s hard to find people who are able to create a balance between the two.

I think what happens when people concentrate solely on their desires and passions is that they simply avoid doing the things they don’t like to do. In real life, everyone has to do things that they don’t accurately like to do. Concentrating only on your passion doesn’t make these other things go away. It’s certainly better than not doing something that you’re passionate about, but you have to remember that you also have to take care of all those basics or everything will end up in a mess.

Great advice. We also need to set goals and really work on them to ensure we are focused and stay on track.

On the other side of the coin, I think far too many people give up on their passion far too soon and end up doing something that they don’t enjoy. If you are truly passionate about something and are willing to be creative and flexible, there should be a way that you can leverage that passion to make a living at it. It probably won’t be how you imagined it would be, but that is all part of being creative.

I just think that far too many people give up on their passion before really giving it a try.
