Once you wake up the meter starts running, although it’s still ‘waiting’ whilst you’re sound asleep!

The more people are aware of their financial imprint, the healthier their lives can be. It is something that we’re striving to do with our kids so that they will be financially capable when they are older. Being financially literate will allow them to participate fully in society.

I’m 58 and just plain tired of trying so hard not to get worked up over all the bad news in my life, financial and otherwise. I do best by not even turning on a TV (don’t have cable anyway) or reading a newspaper on days I especially feel overwhelmed. I’ve got a mom with Alzheimer’s, a source of constant concern and irritation, and she wants to go, go, go all the time. My best “entertainment” these days is a 15-minute nap in the recliner I can get maybe a few days a week at best. I’m grateful I’m doing okay at the moment, and I believe it’s the best I can hope for at this point in my life. Anyway, all this “stuff” we Americans think we have to have, have to work for, have to save for all seem absolutely ridiculous sometimes in the overall scheme of things. I’m glad I have a strong bible belief system and know it won’t go on forever. Just my two cents.
