Nothing is quite as exciting to a child as a birthday party. We may lose the desire to celebrate as we get older, but to a child, a birthday is a magical thing. As parents, we want to make those occasions special and sometimes that wish can lead to a big dent in our finances. It doesn’t have to. With a little creative thinking, you can make sure your child and party guests have a great time, without worrying about crashing the budget (we can even learn some money lessons from birthday parties).     Great tips, but feel free to spend on one or two items in this list that will last or give you a memory of the party.

    For instance, if you are keeping a scrapbook for your child to remember celebrations, it may be worth splurging for nice invitations or nice decorations.

    I think that’s a good idea because some family’s don’t have money they end up doing nothing.What I think matters is that our kids will at least have a little fun on their day.Tell me I have six kids and I would at least make them something simple.Something that they would say we don’t have lots of money but at least I got my cake.
