Since severe RA has battered my body and I can’t do all that I would like, like spending hours in my sewing room, I too have found a way to live the sewing life vicariously. We sell sewing patterns on line, have a sewing blog and FB page, I participate on sewing digest, etc. It keeps me in the loop and in touch with other sewers.

I love this. It’s hard to balance dreams with practicality for me. This is a great way to look at living *part* of your dream, rather than being all-or-nothing.

BTW, I was reading this article today and thought the Jennifer Derrick might be you! This is such a great article. We can live our dreams vicariously through others if we can teach or coach, etc.

I am grateful for the people who coached me through my childhood, and have greatly enjoyed coaching kids in basketball. I was not a great basketball player, but to coach you need to understand the game and how to teach it. You don’t have to have been a great player.
