Uh can’t believe that you didn’t mention take fewer showers. Stretch your mind back 40-50 years ago. Rarely were people showering/bathing every day. Back with one bathroom homes an 4-5 kids we were lucky to get baths twice a week. Most people, unless they are construction type workers, don’t really get dirty enough to NEED to shower daily. Someone that works in an air conditioned office and gets there and back in an air conditioned car and lives in an air conditioned house, really doesn’t need a daily shower.

Another idea to reduce the cost of showering is to clean it with an inexpensive cleaner such as vinegar. It is a fabulous way of keeping drains and grout clean – and is also “green”!

Another way to reduce the amount of wasted water is to reuse the water. Catch the grey water into a bucket, then use it to fill the toilet!

Do people really throw away their shower curtains after only a few months??? I must live in a cave. . . a cave where I put my (vinyl) shower curtain into the washer with the towels every few months.
