As a person who worked in car dealerships for nearly 10 years, I can tell you that a lot of people make expensive mistakes when buying a new or used car. Fortunately, these common mistakes are easy to avoid – here’s what you need to look out for:

    yesterday i’ve bought a proton persona sedan car in malaysia. the models came in with 6 options ranging from RM45K to RM53K. well, i choose the medium range ie RM47K. hopefully it is a right choice.

    because noone will rent you a truck to tow with. it violates the rental contract at all the major agencies.

    Many good points. I am newly employed and considered buying a car with my new money but decided to save, run my old car into the ground and delay the purchase, giving me more time to research and more time to save to get the car I want.

    While you are absolutely correct that the major rental car agencies (Enterprise, Budget, etc.) will not rent you a simple truck with a tow-hitch, moving companies will happily rent you a moving van or truck with all the necessary equipment. While this might seem like overkill, this is actually a cheap and safe towing solution. It’s also easier to tow with a large vehicle – another benefit.
