Both online and in the real world, I’m seeing more and more people desperate to work from home these days. I hear many reasons for this: The high price of gas is making commuting too expensive. Those already at home need to bring in extra income to make ends meet or pay for extras. It’s better for the environment. It’s less stressful than working in an office. It’s more family friendly. Whatever the reason, there are many people looking for work from home jobs.

    Jobs doing what I want to do don’t and won’t exist. The only way to do it is to start your own business.

    Thanks. I have a passion to do proofreading online. Typos just seem to jump out at me (and there are plenty of them). I’ve been searching forever for a legitimate opportunity. B ut so far to no avail. this encourages me to keep on looking. Sooner or later, something is going to give. Thanks again.

    Excellent article, Jennifer. There are no jobs in a box anywhere. You have to make your own.

    Many people say “Do what you love and the money will follow.” I think that is bad advice. I think it should be more like “Do what you love and the money will follow only if what you are doing meets the needs of many other people.”
