Actually, if you take the number of hours that we have devoted to the sites and blogs and divide it by what we have earned, we have not broken minimum wage. That’s not a complaint. When we started, we never thought we would make anything on the website (all those google ads in the sidebar didn’t even exist back then and there wasn’t any indication that there would be a way to make money from blogs and websites at that time). I’m not sure when you look at it from that perspective that you can say we are profiting nicely, but then that was never the primary goal (although both of us are very pleased that what originally was a fun project for us has become big enough to allow us both to devote our full time to it) and if you count being able to do what you love as part of the “profit” then we have both profited even more than nicely.

The main goal was always to build a place where people could find information, discuss and consider new ideas on how to make their money go farther. While we provided a place and tools where people could do that, we could have never accomplished the goal alone and the members here are what make the site what it is. We appreciate that there are many others that share what they have learned with others on this site to help get their finances in order because when it comes right down to it, there are many different approaches that still can get you to your financial goals. A wide range of perspectives and thoughts are what the community provides that we could never do on our own. It was a simple recognition and appreciation of that fact that we wanted to send out the holiday greeting to all.
