I love to cook and bake and my partner seems to think that any little gadget that removes the inconvenience is worth getting it for me. However, I choose my battles. I recently got myself a kitchenaid mixer, which in my logic was (although more expensive) more beneficial in regards to saving time in preparing the meals by almost half the time. For me, it's between spending ten to twenty minutes beating the egg and sugar mixture with a handheld beater and not being able to do anything else or using the mixer and multitasking. For her, it's getting me an apple slicer just to save a few seconds of my time. My value of time maybe different from hers. Before I purchased the mixer I did my research in price comparison and asked around the office if anyone had one. A few people said the price hasn't really dropped since ten years ago.
