This is part of a series of money confessions that I have been putting together over the last few months. I ask people after some of the talks that I have given to anonymously write down their money secrets. This is confession number 49 in the series:

“I paid someone to do all my homework through college so that I could play. I graduated with honors.”
Other confession already...
When I see this stuff, I don’t wonder anymore how people got into some of the positions of authority that they did and can be so stupid about it.
While it probably won’t ever come back to haunt you, it should. A lot of us worked hard to get through college while working several jobs at the same time.
Wouldn’t it be odd if tomorrow’s confession would be, “I was paid to do someone’s homework throughout my collegiate years so he would graduate with honors. It’s been the best paying job of my life. Today, he’s a multibillionaire and heir to a chain of hotels, and I’m struggling to get a job in the field that I majored in”
