I agree with you -- some foods are just cheaper to get from a restaurant.  I can get a huge serving of pad Thai at a restaurant for $7 that will last me three meals.  If I tried to make it, I'd have to buy a bunch of ingredients that I don't normally use, don't know how to work with, and don't know where to find. The ingredients alone would cost more than $7, I'd have to spend all that time shopping and cooking, and the final dish wouldn't taste nearly as good.</description>

		<description>You don't buy them toasted in the store, you toast themself. I use my toaster oven to toast walnuts often as it does add a great deal of flavor, but you have to watch it cus it will easily burn if in there too long.</description>

You may have wasted some sesame seeds on your first try, but next time you won't make the same mistakes, and eventually you'll be able to cook great restaurant-quality meals at home, which will save you a lot of money.  Much better (and cheaper in the long run) than eating Manwich!</description>

To toast them, just put them in a dry, nonstick frying pan over low heat and keep an eye on them, stirring with a wooden spoon, as they can go from "toasted" to "charred" in seconds. I'm sorry you had such a frightening experience with them, but leaving out the oil should cut down on the popping. I'm on the border of developing a phobia about bacon splatters, so I understand your fear! But I also know that I have driven myself broke and all over town looking for stuff to make one silly recipe, and I think the moral of the story is that if you're only using the ingredient once, try to substitute it for something you will or already do use.</description>
