Google Gift Brings Xmas Early

I came home to find a digital photo frame gift waiting for me from Google. Apparently these are given to some of the AdSense publishers each year and I was lucky enough to receive one. Here are a few photos that I took as I was opening up the box:

I haven’t really had the time to play with it yet (my fun for tonight). I basically took it out of the box and plugged it in to make sure it worked. Here is what it has according to the specs:

  • Picture Format: JPG Pictures
  • Audio File Format: Mp3, WMA, WAV and record WAV file
  • Video File Format: ASF only
  • LCD: 3.6 inch TFT, view digital photos & AVI image on 960*240 TFT screen. 16 mega-multicolor
  • Media Support: Internal memory and SD card
  • Current: less than 230mA
  • Power Supply: 4 AAA batteries or USB 5V. or AC/DC power adaptor
  • Cards reader with USB1.1 interface

Certainly a nice little surprise to receive and I may add some more to this post after I have some fun playing with it tonight.

that’s cool. I want one!!

Damn, I want one of these. Google never gives me anything…

I wish Google had sent me one of these… I am considering purchasing one as a Christmas gift for my mother, as her framed photos all over the house are threatening to completely take over.

that’s pretty sweet! :)

Google sent me one of these, too - pretty cool! I think they just sent cards last year.

Just opened ours today and it had a CD instead of an SD card so it does not fit into the slot….hmmm… then I used my own SD card and all it does is freeze when viewing the pictures…. hmmmm…. quality control in the China factory must have skipped this one….
