I happened to be looking for paint and insulation for a home improvement project when I stumbled upon insulating paints.     NASA may approve of them, but the googling I did seemed to be in agreement that their claims for home energy savings were unsubstantiated.

    For myself, living in Wisconsin, this wouldn’t work well because I want my house to absorb heat from the sun, at least during nine months of the year. However, if I owned a space shuttle that was much closer to the sun, this product might make a difference.
