Blogoversary – 1 Year
Kind of hard to believe that I have been blogging here for an entire year. As with a lot of this, time has just flown by. As I seem to do with most anniversaries, I’ve taken a bit of time to sit back and reflect on what was good and what wasn’t so good over the past 12 months.
One thing I think I’ll do is borrow a little something from FiveCentNickel who makes a post each week about what he’d written the year before. While I hope this will beneficial for the readers who weren’t around at that time, I think it will also be a good benefit for me and what I was thinking at that time.
One of the things that I have learned through this entire process is that personal finances aren’t cookie cutter black and white. Sure, there are a lot of general rules that are good sign posts to navigate your way through all the financial roadblocks that are out there, but your individual circumstances will ultimately decide when you need to take a detour. While I do have a lot of opinions on certain subjects, I also have changed my opinion in other areas from all the different views I’ve received from readers.
I’m certainly looking forward to another year and seeing where this all leads and, of course, it makes the journey a lot more fun with all of you along for the ride.
Congratulations on hitting the one year mark! You’ve done what 99% of other people who start a personal finance blog never do. Looking forward to Year 2!
