fat or poor - which would you rather be?According to a new survey from Fitness Magazine, you’re likely to choose being poor over being fat. The survey says that the majority of women (63%) and men (55%) would choose to be poor at their ideal weight rather than be rich and substantially overweight. More than half of both women (58%) and men (54%) also say they’d prefer to be without a job rather than have 75 extra pounds of weight to carry around.

    Rich and 75 pounds overweight, of course! Then I could pay for a personal trainer and/or liposuction.

    Hmm… I could always pay $1,000 a month for a personal trainer to come by every day and yell at me to exercise. So I guess I could choose being poor instead of being fat…

  6. I’d rather be poor. I’m already poor(ish) and I have an unreasonable fear of fat people. I think it goes back to when I used to wrestle in middle school and my fat coach would sit on me. Or maybe it had more to do with the whale we used to rent a room to. (Whale isn’t a very accurate term, though; she looked more like a tick. A 450 pound body with a 2.5 pound head…)
