March Profits For Sat Sites

Looking at the numbers for March we knew that we needed to make some adjustments to our building of additional sites. While a few of the sites are quite performing well, the majority of them are not. What we’d ultimately like to have is 50 sites each earning a minimum of $50 and while we have 23 sites now live, only 7 of them currently break that $50 a month mark. Since it is pretty obvious that the others aren’t going to make it on their own, we decided to implement the site managers this month. Hopefully this will help improve the earnings of the sites so that they will hit that minimum mark and can expand and get more managers for the other sites.

We did have some big winners in March as well as one steep fall. Part of this was due to some publicity the site received, so unless we can duplicate the same publicity next month, we may see a fall in earnings for the sat sites. it is, however, nice to report that the average per site rose for once — from $32.25 per site to $41.60 per site counting all 21 sites that were up for a full month. Here are the numbers.

Satellite March profits

Earning Rank March Change
1 $209.00 +$57.01
2 $194.53 +$152.47
3 $89.50** +$8.84
4 $65.97 +$36.51
5 $63.53 -$37.30
6 $59.29 $0.00
7 $50.58 +$6.29
8 $25.13 +$0.07
9 $22.40 +$12.59
10 $19.06 -$3.38
11 $15.17** +$5.68
12 $12.26 -$4.27
13 $12.02 +$0.93
14 $10.74 -$6.68
15 $10.25 -$0.67
16 $8.74 -$0.71
17 $3.02 +$2.75
18 $1.75 N/A
19 $0.66** -$0.12
20 $0.00 -$3.26
21 $0.00 $0.00

The three with the ** next to their number are the sites that will be managed this next month. As you can see, one is doing quite well while the others have a lot of room for improvement. This coming month should be interesting to see how those develop. I think if we keep plugging away as we have been we will be in good shape come the end of the year.

Are you promoting offline with press releases or going after adverts, offering text links?
Is there a way to set up links at the bottom of the your sub pf sites that other users have?

We have done no offline promotion at all. All of the advertising links we have come through our main site or from Linkworth which has been quite kind to us lately (knock on wood) with the rest being adsense. We’ve considered doing some other types of advertising, but we’ve opted for those that are easiest to use with the best return just becasue we have so many things going on, we don’t have time to deal with campaigns that need a lot of adjustment. We have Chitika up, but it has been terrible lately and we’ll likely take them down soon.

Ya know I signed up with linkworth, many moons ago, got nothing. Guess I’m too ‘nichey’

All the supporting sites you see on the right are courtesy of Linkworth – and add up to a few hundred dollars. This site brings in more from them than it does from adsense – emailed you with some tips

Great article. I think I need to try out Linkworth as well. Thanks for the tip.
