I've seen a lot of complaints about technorati out there in the blogosphere...and for quite a while (meaning....they don't seem to have heeded those complaints).

As far as your feed...three things:

1) on the main page you have feed chicklet overload...I would go with one chicklet for feed (say...your feedcount chicklet) and when someone clicks on that, they can select from several options on the resulting page -- feel free to keep your other chicklets my all means...its just that the "right" one to use to subscribe to a feed isn't immediately apparent to those new to feeds.

2) Once you've got it down to a single feed chicklet, I'd move it up above the fold (between archives and other site links, for ex) and finally...

3) make sure that subscribe chicklet is on your individual posts! right now you only have it on the main page (yes...I know there are text links in the footer, and yes I know a lot of us just use bloglines to auto-discover...but you have to make it insanely easy...many folks are still learnin what feeds are)

...and bonus...you might consider adding a feedblitz subscription box for those folks who are more used to "email updates" ... feedburner counts those as subscriptions and they're more "old skool" friendly for those not quite digging on rss readers yet.

best of luck!

I have been no where to be found on technorati myself for the last 3 months. I finally gave up. People will find me, I'm in no rush.

The feed number sounds good- though you may have 300 people signed up for your feed, that means 80-90 read it for that day. I never quite understood how that worked- again, I just want to see it go up and not down.
