If you really really can't forego the fancy coffee, get a job as a barista, or at least enough training to make the coffes yourself. They really are not hard once you've got the basic tricks down.

(NB: I don't drink coffee, but I love to make the fancy drinks.)

I must say that I began falling into the fancy-coffee/day trap, until I realized how much I was spending!

But its soooo good! Personally, I limit myself to only 1 coffee every saturday morning now...so in a way I get to have my fix, with only 1/7 the cost! :)

Little things add up, but people need to watch out for the big purchases also. If they save on small stuff and spend on big stuff, in the end, they'll spend all that they save on the little stuff and more.
